THE LIMITED EDITION SYSTEM

Postby David J Weston » Sat Oct 03, 2015 8:59 pm

On your inventory page you will now find many items have a ‘ticket’ image beneath them. There are five different ones corresponding to the five limited edition shops in the Auction House:

1. Battered old-time ticket: limited edition goods for sale in the Antique Shop. Works like fluff LE sales. Once an item is in there, it never comes out.

2. Floral ticket: goods in the Seasonal Shop. These may be brought back to the Department Store before returning to the Seasonal Shop again or ending up in the Antique Shop at some point.

3. Green banded gem: large (size 5+) gems, created in the Swap Shop, on sale in The Jeweller.

4. Orange drinks cup: large (size 7+) drinks, created in the Swap Shop (or size 10’s from the fruit machine) on sale in the Wine Cellar.

5. Hamburger: large (size 7+) foods, created in the Swap Shop, on sale in the Food Market.

All the above shops can be accessed as follows: ‘Mall’, then ‘Auctions’ takes you to the Auction House, where each of the above has its own tab.

To put an item on sale in the Auction House, begin by clicking the ticket below the item in your inventory.

Clicking on the ticket raises a popup. This includes your stock, and the current prices (if any) of the item in gold or silver moles. A default price for golden moles is set for you to beat the current price. You can change this. You can also change to silver moles by clicking the radio button. The recent sales history for both gold and silver moles appears below the ticket image; you can sell anything in either gold or silver moles (we may later reconsider that).

Once the price and currency are as you desire, click the ticket image.

One last chance to change your mind; this could eventually involve sales for tens of thousands of GM.

The popup is updated, showing that you put the item on sale, with a receipt number in case of any problems. You can now put more of the item on sale from the same popup until you run out of stock or close it.

Click ‘Mall’ then ‘Auctions’. You will find a summary of the new LE trading system. You can then click the ‘Escrow’ tab to see what you have put on sale.

This is your searchable Escrow tab. At the moment we only allow items to be priced for sale, but the page has been created to handle an ‘offers’ system in future as well.

For the moment ignore the ‘Sales’ / ‘Offers’ selection and keep that at ‘Sales’. You can then search for items you have placed in escrow for gold, silver or both; you can look for antique items, seasonal items or both; you can look for ongoing sales (active) or sold items (completed). Besides being able to check the date you placed an item in escrow, when it sold (if at all) and the price, you can click the ‘x’ button to remove items from sale.

You cannot change the price they are sold at, but you can remove them from sale and then enter them again at a new price.

Now let’s look at one of the shops in the Auction House. The Seasonal Shop can be reached by clicking Mall/Auctions/Seasonal.

Items are displayed in much the same way as in the Department Store, but are marked ‘out of season’ with start and end dates for the last time they were on sale.

Your stock is shown. Then beneath that are the current prices and sale histories for the item in both silver and golden moles.

There is also a wish list button at the top left of the right hand panel and a ‘sell’ button at the top right; the sell button works the same way here as it does on your inventory page.

If you have enough to buy the lowest priced item, a ‘buy‘ button will appear. Click it to buy.

The alert gives you a last chance to think again.

Normally you will get a receipt like this.

If someone placed the same item on sale at a lower price since you clicked, you will pay the lower price. If the item you clicked on sold, you will be sold another if there is another at the same price. If all the iitems remaining are priced above the price you clicked to pay, you will get a notice telling you to try again; you will never be charged more than you agreed to pay.

Click to get rid of this alert, then your stock will be updated, as will the sale price, without a screen refresh. As yet the sales history is NOT updated at this point.

Go to your ‘My pets’ page, click the wish list icon and then click the ‘Escrow’ tab. Cedric the Squirrel is currently your representative in the Escrow system. The tab lists all your actions in the limited edition system for the last 30 days, buying, selling, offering items for sale and withdrawing them from sale. This is a list of actions in the order they were made, whereas the Escrow tab in the Auction House is a searchable list of current offers and sales made.
