Links to randomisers other people have used?

Postby Aquarius » Sat May 30, 2015 11:05 am

In the pnf group, many px have said that they didn't know how to access a forum or hadn't done it before.

Most people also have never run even a modest competition (myself included).

When I consider running a small competition, I am put off because I wouldn't have a clue where to find or how to download/use a randomiser.

I don't download things that haven't been recommended, and I've not come across recommendations or instructions for randomisers...

...so here's your opportunity to tell me what works well with Windows/Mac and what's involved with using it :?

Thanks for posting this Kris! I look forward to seeing a list too... and if we get one together, maybe we can *sticky* it somewhere for easy reference!

There are a couple that I use on a regular basis and I'll share the one whose website I know by heart ang the other I'll post later when I get home from work (I have to pretend to be my boss and run a family team meeting with one of our clients ;) )

http://www.Random.org is a popular one

another site i use:
http://www.classtools.net/

i really like this one from classtools.net

Thank you for starting our list Lisa! Is it possible, once we have a good list made, to *sticky* it at the top of this topic? Or does a new topic need to be made to sticky it at the top? (Sorry, still learning all these things!) TY :?: :?:

I think once we have a decent list, we can create a new topic to keep things tidy ;)

I'll have to dig out my old laptop, the one I used with that other game, to find the links to the randomizers I regularly used.

Hi! In searching for the old randomizers I had used before, I remembered this one, which should NEVER be used:

http://www.psychicscience.org/random.aspx

It gives out a rather well spaced spectrum of results, and even provided a time stamp, but the field for the results is editable. Meaning anyone could list any results they wanted. So in my opinion this is one randomizer that no one should be using for any contests as the results could be altered.
