Removing background

Postby Tear E Hatchet » Mon Jun 01, 2015 10:05 am

This may be a silly question but I have tried and failed... Is there a way to remove only the background (scene) once you have added one? I made some art with a background and then decided maybe it would be better transparent. The only way seemed to clear the whole thing, which I did't really want to do at that point. Have I missed something?
Thanks :)

I have been wondering the same thing. There is an option when you hover open an item in the selection process to "clear" that item, but it always shows as an unavailable feature for me.

Let me ask David, and I'll post his answer.

Okay so the short answer is NO, once you add a scene as BACKGROUND, you cannot remove it. The short term solution is, when you find the scene you want as your background... *ADD* it and enlarge to the largest size which will cover the entire background, as opposed to "make background". Does this make sense? You can then select and X (delete) it (as long as you don't have an effect or something else that covers the entire image) if you decide you no longer want it.
This issue is on the LONG list of items to work on, but not near the top, so try and use the above solution in the interim. Also it's been propose to have a "transparent" scene that you can use to *make background*, which would be a nice feature to use.

Hope that helps!
